Catherine Maybury is a faculty research assistant in the Herschel S. Horowitz Center for Health Literacy and supports the work of Dr. Alice M. Horowitz. Catherine’s work focuses on the impact of oral health literacy on health outcomes and interventions that minimize the barriers presented by low oral health literacy, especially among low-income women and their young children. Her research interests include health literacy, chronic disease prevention and health inequities in women, adolescents and young children. Catherine is a doctoral student in the Behavioral and Community Health program and received her MPH from the same program.
