The Department of Behavioral and Community Health (BCH) offers a wealth of co-and extra-curricular opportunities for students. Students have the opportunity to earn credit for completing an internship with a local organization or an independent study with a faculty member. Serving all Department of Behavioral and Community Health undergraduates and graduates, Eta Sigma Gamma is a national health education honorary dedicated to the promotion of the discipline by elevating the standards, ideals, competence, and ethics of professionally prepared individuals in health education. BCH offers a discipline-specific honors program for students in their junior year to explore their own research and experience 1:1 faculty mentoring. Global opportunities abound with short-term study abroad programs and semester-long programs with transferrable courses.
