In the Department of Health Policy and Management at the University of Maryland School of Public Health, we are advancing health equity through evidence-based policies and programs and developing research responsive to the needs of Marylanders.
Our location in College Park, just 7 miles from the nation's capital, gives us access to federal government agencies, the United States Congress, a diverse variety of public health policy think tanks, as well as to the Maryland state capital in Annapolis and several county governments. Students can take full advantage of resources available in Washington, D.C. while also applying their knowledge, tools, and resources to health services issues specific to the state of Maryland and its local communities.
