Dianna Abney

Dr. Dianna Abney is a health officer for the Charles County Department of Health. She is a practicing pediatrician with 25 years of experience working in Waldorf, Maryland.
Prior to her role as the Health Officer, Dr. Abney was the medical director of the county's Child Abuse and Neglect program. She is a commissioner on the Children's Environmental Health and Protection Advisory Council, and she chairs the Maryland Statewide Advisory Commission on Immunizations. Dr. Abney’s research interests include health disparities, prevention of childhood obesity, immunizations, and the prevention and treatment of child abuse. She received her medical degree from Tulane University in 1989.

Christopher J. King is an academic administrator, associate professor and population health strategist who is board certified in health care management. With expertise at the intersection of institutional racism, social determinants of health and health care administration, his work bridges the gap between medical care and public health.

Dr. Roderick K. King, MD, MPH is the inaugural Senior Vice President, Chief Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Officer for the University of Maryland Medical System. Prior to his current position, Dr. King served as the Senior Associate Dean for Diversity, Inclusion and Community Engagement and Director of the MD/MPH Program at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He was an Associate Professor in the Department of Public Health Sciences and held joint appointments in the Department of Pediatrics and the University of Miami Business School Department of Health Policy and Management. He also served as the Chief Executive Officer of the Florida Institute for Health Innovation (formerly the Florida Public Health Institute).

Dr. Marilyn Lynk is a health care executive director and serves as adjunct faculty at the University of Maryland School of Public Health. She has taught various topics (e.g., community health, health equity, public health and program evaluation) and served as a preceptor to graduate and undergraduate students on projects related to population health, health equity, health disparities, literature review and data analysis and reporting.

Dr. Rosalina McCoy is Associate Professor of Medicine and the Associate Division Chief for Clinical Research in the University of Maryland School of Medicine’s Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Nutrition, where she has her primary appointment. She also serves as the Director of the Precision Medicine and Population Health Program in the University of Maryland Institute for Health Computing, where she leads interdisciplinary research efforts focused on improving the health and wellbeing of the people of Maryland and beyond.

Wesley Queen currently serves as Coordinator of the Legacy Leadership Institute on Public Policy Program (LLIPP). Legacy Leadership recruits and offers training and placement of Maryland residents age 50+ in governmental offices as volunteer service leaders during the 90-day session of the Maryland General Assembly. In addition, Wesley is Co-Director of the Community Engagement and Outreach Core, of the Maryland Center for Health Equity. He also serves as a Legislative Lecturer of the Health Policy Class in SPH.
