Tracking down reliable health care information and resources can be overwhelming. Proposed Maryland legislation aims to combat that by designating the Horowitz Center for Health Literacy as the state's Consumer Health Information Hub.

Michael Brown PhD ’95 joined the School of Public Health as the new chair of the Department of Kinesiology on January 3, 2022. 

Greg and Kimberly Pappas have established the Emily Pappas '22 Family Maryland Promise Scholarship with a  $125,000 gift in honor of their daughter Emily. It will support undergraduate kinesiology students in the School of Public Health, with preference given to students from underrepresented populations, low-income and first-generation college students.
