Father’s Legacy Inspires Lifetime Commitment to Equity

Throughout history, there are individuals whose actions resonate beyond their own lifetimes and shape the course of society by inspiring future generations. Harold (“Hal”) Brown stands as one of those unsung heroes whose dedication to civil rights and social justice continues to influence others, and in particular, his own son, Department of Kinesiology Chair Michael Brown.

Welcome to the Biostatistics Consultation Core. We are a team of faculty, staff, and graduate students in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics. We provide statistical advice and support to University of Maryland (UMD)  researchers and external clients in academia, industry and government.

Students are expected to know and abide by University and SPH Academic Policies.

Kerry Green Named Interim Chair of Department of Behavioral and Community Health

As interim chair, Dr. Green will provide academic and strategic leadership and advance the teaching, research, service and outreach missions of the department and School of Public Health. She will succeed Dr. Craig Fryer, who has graciously served as interim chair for more than two years, on December 31.
