Alumni Association Names Jameson Roth Emerging Leader of the Year

The University of Maryland Alumni Association has named Jameson Roth ’17, president of the School of Public Health Alumni Network, as its Emerging Leader of the Year. Roth, a graduate of the Department of Family Science, became president of the School of Public Health Alumni Network in July 2022.

Congratulations to Our Spring 2021 Dean's List Students!

Congratulations to the 1,280 Spring 2021 semester Dean's List awardees from the University of Maryland School of Public Health! This honor is given to students who have completed 12 or more credits (excluding P/F credits) with a semester GPA of 3.5 or higher.

Inequity in HIV Prevention

Medicines to prevent HIV infection, called “pre-exposure prophylaxis” (or PrEP), are known to dramatically reduce a person’s risk of getting HIV from sex and IV drug use, cutting the risk by 99 percent and 74 percent, respectively.
